Sandra Timm (nee Reddick), 62, of LeRoy Twp. passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 10, 2017 at home after a brief illness. Originally from Huron, Sandra moved to Willoughby in her late teens and has been a Lake County resident since. She resided in LeRoy Township with her husband Mark.

Sandra was a billing clerk in the business office of Windsor Laurelwood Hospital in Willoughby. She was employed there for 34 years. Sandra also worked at the Willoughby Public Library for 20 years. Sandra attended school to become a stewardess and worked for a short time as a travel agent after high school.

She was the former president of Single Volunteers of Lake County, secretary of the LeRoy V.F.W. #7939, member of the LeRoy Recreation and Advisory Committee and also served on the Community Life team at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Thompson. She also served on several festival committees at St. John Vianney Church in Mentor. Sandra frequently donated her time to many Lake Metroparks adapted program events as well as N.A.M.I. fundraisers. She was an advocate of veteran causes as well.

Sandra’s interests included reading, gardening, baking, playing the piano, building puzzles, and decorating her home. She was adept at organizing great parties, fundraising, and making gift baskets. In late summer she would often fill her freezer with homemade zucchini bread and apple sauce. Sandra was a very active volunteer and she met her second husband as a member of a singles volunteer group.

Sandra had an unforgettable smile and a contagious laugh. She had an unselfish nature and always was willing to help others out any way that she could. Her warm personality radiated amongst her large circle of friends and family. She enjoyed visiting wineries and entertaining at her home and she was an incredible host who will be dearly missed. Her family was very important to her.

Sandra was the proud parent of Will Robinson (Jenn) and Renee Robinson and did an outstanding job raising them as a single parent. Some of her fondest moments in life were sharing time with her three grandchildren, Liam, Layne and Lucas. She cherished every visit to see her grandchildren and was prompt to share pictures of them with friends and family.

She is survived by her husband, Mark Timm; children, Will (Jenn) Robinson and Renee Robinson; grandchildren, Liam, Layne and Lucas; mother, Barbara Reddick; brothers, Mark (Barb), Steve (Robin), Paul (Judith); and sister, Patricia (Mike); sister-in-law, Fran Reddick; in-laws, Ronald (Chris), Barb (Dick), Carl (Char), Rich (Maggie), Virginia (Jim); and many nieces, cousins and friends. Sandra was preceded in death by her father Donald and brother, Daniel.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Wednesday at Jeff Monreal Funeral Home, 6330 Center St., Mentor, OH. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday Nov., 16th at St. John Vianney Church 7575 Bellflower Rd., Mentor. There will be no burial service.

Donations can be made to the Lake Metroparks adapted programs in Sandra’s memory.

  1. There are no words to express how deeply sorry I am. Having Sandy for a member of our Toastmasters Club for that brief time was a pleasure. She was always smiling, and happy. Remember the good times and that will carry you through. I am so sorry I cannot be there. I am in SC, but my thoughts are with you, Mark, and the family.
