Robert W. Brown, age 85 of Painesville Twp., passed away October 18, 2017 at Hillcrest Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 22, 1932 in Cleveland to the late Lloyd and Johanna Brown.
Robert was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. He was a lieutenant on Shaker Heights Fire Department, retiring in 1986.
He was an avid collector of duck decoys and fishing tackle. He enjoyed fantasy football and especially loved spending time with his loving family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Diane G. Brown (nee Williams); children, Robert, William (Leslie) and Lisa Fulton; grandchildren, Katelyn, Abigail, Emma, Ashley and Cameron; sister, Judy Kolesar; sister in law, Anne Brown.
He is preceded in death by his brother Lloyd Brown.
Private burial was held at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chesterland.
Arrangement entrusted to Jeff Monreal Funeral Home, 6330 Center Street, Mentor.

Diane, we were sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. We remember him in his fireman’s uniform, his devotion to you and to the children. Rich recalls the time he came to the front door and said Beth was picking on the boys! That’s one time Rich was at a loss for words. Thinking of you.
