Robert “Bob” Unger

Robert “Bob” Unger, age 67 of Concord Twp., passed away February 10, 2021 at home surrounded by his family. He was born October 31, 1953 in Cleveland to the late William and Mildred Unger.

Bob retired from Stanley Assembly and was a master inspector.  After retirement, he worked at Laketran for many years.

Bob was a friend of Bill Wilson and his homegroup was Mentor Men’s.

Bob was the loving husband of Beverly Unger; father of Leesa (Patrick-fiance) Unger, Jacob (Denise-fiancee) Unger and Erica Boslay; grandfather of Antonio Figueroa, Christopher Malone, Anthony McIntrye and Madilyn McIntyre; brother of Bill (Deb) Unger, James Unger, Ricky (Joanna) Unger and Eugene (Jackie) Unger and the late Carol Flick; uncle to many nieces and nephews.

The Unger family will receive friends from 2:00-6:00 PM Sunday, February 14, 2021 at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave., (which is located on the grounds of McMahon Coyne Vitantonio Funeral Home). A Funeral Service will be held at 10 AM Monday in The Abbey of Willoughby. Burial at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Twp.

Donations can be made in Bob’s name to AA Cleveland District Office, 1557 St. Clair Ave. NE, Cleveland OH 44114 or Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair, Cleveland OH 44110.

In Bob’s memory, please do something kind for someone today.

    I worked at Laketran with Bob,the last memory I have of him he came to one of our holiday celebrations.I sat with him and fixed his plate,this had to be 3 to 4 years ago.It was a pleasure being in his presence

    I grew up across the street from Bob and Kathy and babysat Leesa and Jake many years ago. We were more than neighbors, we were family. I also worked with Bob at Stanley for a short time. He will be greatly missed by many.

I am battling Covd right now so I am unable to attend but please accept my heartfelt condolences.
