Richard “Dick” A. Baker, age 67 of Chardon, passed away May 20, 2018 at Seidman Cancer Center in Cleveland surrounded by his family. He was born October 2, 1950 in Chardon to the late John and Margaret “Betty” Baker.

Dick was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Dick was a former Chardon and Willoughby Police Officer.

He was the loving husband of Marla Baker; stepfather of Stephanie (David) Morton and Mike (Jennifer) Anderson; grandfather of Megan, Jake, Andrew, Ashley, Caden and Connor; brother of John “Pudge” Baker and the late Margaret “Peggy” Geisman and George “Butch” Brainard; uncle of many.

Visitation will be held 2-6 PM Saturday, June 9th at Jeff Monreal Funeral Home, 6330 Center Street, Mentor. Memorial Service will be held at 6 PM Saturday at the funeral home.

  2. Condolences to the Family on your loss. I worked with Dick when he was a Ptl for Chardon. He would show up as a Backup to a lot of our Officers at the Sheriff’s Dept. He will be missed.
