Marilyn Gayle DiLiberto (nee Sustaric), age 71, formerly of Eastlake, peacefully passed away December 10, 2018 at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Fort Myers, Florida surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 6, 1947 in Cleveland to the late Steve and Mary Sustaric.

She previously worked at Cole National in Willoughby Hills and worked for the Willoughby-Eastlake Schools.

Marilyn was the former first lady of Eastlake. She was a past member of the SNPJ, loved traveling and spending time with her family.

Marilyn is loving wife for 50 years of Dan DiLiberto (former mayor of Eastlake); beloved mother of Daniel (Donna) DiLiberto, Brian (Stephanie) DiLiberto and Heather (Mark) Lavalais; grandmother of Nicholas, Emily, Kayla and Jessica DiLiberto, Andrew and Aly Mastrocola and M.J. Lavalais; sister of Cliff (Sue) Sustaric and the late Audrey Fitzmaurice and Steven Sustaric; daughter in law of Goldie (Nathaniel-deceased) DiLiberto. sister in law of Dave Fitzmaurice, Nancy Sustaric, Alan (Marylou) DiLiberto and Robert (Martha) DiLiberto; aunt of many; and her beloved pet Cody.

Funeral Mass will be held 11 AM Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at St. Gabriel Church, 9925 Johnny Cake Ridge Rd., Concord. Private burial will be held at a later date.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Monday, December 17, 2018 at McMahon Coyne Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center Street, Mentor.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Jeff Monreal Funeral Services.

  4. Dear Dan and Children: My heart is so sad with Marilyn’s passing. Even though I haven’t seen her for awhile, I remember all the wonderful times and laughs we shared. She will be missed in my heart.

  11. My deepest condolences Dan to you and your family. The picture perfectly frames Marilyn’s sweet smile. Even after all the passing years (way back to our teen years on E. 176), her smile didn’t change. She’ll always be in your hearts.
