Anthony R. Stang, age 72 of Perry, formerly of Eastlake, passed away unexpectedly at home May 18, 2018. He was born December 22, 1945 in Cleveland to the late George and Dorothy Stang.

Tony was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a former produce manager at Fazios in Willoughby and retired from the city of Eastlake’s road department.

Tony was a former boys and girls Eastlake softball coach and had a field named after him “Stang Field” in Eastlake. He was currently being inducted into the Slo-Pitch Hall of Fame as a score keeper. He was avid Cavs and St. Louis Cardinals fan.

He is the loving husband of Linda Stang and the late Sandy Stang; beloved father of Beth (Rok) Ribic, Tina (Eric) Wassum, Todd Stang and the late Anthony R. Stang Jr.; step father of Kelly (Jeremy) Kimble and Carly (Dave) Johnson; grandfather and step grandfather of many; brother of George (Donna) Stang.

Visitation will be held 3-7 PM Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Jeff Monreal Funeral Home, 6330 Center Street, Mentor. Funeral Service at 7PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
