Roberta J. Lyon (nee Aquila), age 76 of Concord, formerly of Euclid, passed away June 10th, 2021 at Concord Village Nursing Home. She was born February 9th, 1945 in Cleveland.
She received her master’s degree from Cleveland State and worked at The Cleveland VA as a medical lab tech.
Roberta loved animals, painting, photography, and she volunteered at St. Gabriel Church.
Roberta is the loving wife of 57 years to the late Terry Lyon Sr.; beloved mother of Victoria (Paul) Liuzzo, Terry (Connie) Lyon Jr., Doreen Lyon and Sylvester (aka Junior) Lyon; grandmother of Erika, Rachel and Vince Liuzzo, Anthony and Gina Lyon; sister of Jane (Steve) Szampias, Tom (Carol) Aquila, Lou (Ruth) Aquila and the late Virginia and Daniel (Laura) Aquila; aunt to many nieces and nephews.
The Lyon family will receive friends from 1:00-1:30 PM Tuesday, June 15th, 2021 at St. Gabriel Church, 9925 Johnnycake Ridge Rd., Concord. A Funeral Mass will follow at 1:30 PM Tuesday. Entombment at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Twp.
Donations can be made in Roberta’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
