Adam D. Hakli, age 39 of Painesville Twp., passed away on September 11th, 2021. He was born June 12th, 1982 in Painesville.

Adam was a U.S. Navy Veteran who was very proud to serve our country. He loved hiking, camping, going for walks, swinging in his Gram’s backyard, and sitting around the bonfire with his family and friends. He loved playing video games, listening to music and spending time with his wife and daughters. Adam was very intelligent, enjoyed reading, science and learning. He also enjoyed watching documentaries, particularly WWII Docs.

Adam was working toward finishing his degree in Neuroscience. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother and son-in-law. Adam adored his wife and daughters. They were the joy of his life and he felt it a great honor to be their husband and dad.

Adam was the loving husband and high school sweetheart of Sarah Hakli (nee Newman); beloved father of Elizabeth “Lizzie” Hakli and Rosalind “Rosie” Hakli; dearest son of Nora Hinz and Ron Hakli; brother of Russell (Megan) Tomlinson and William (Liz) Tomlinson; grandson of Carolyn Gillette; son in law of Tom and Pam Newman; nephew and cousin to many.

The Hakli family would like to invite family and friends to The Memorial Service at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, Seville Ohio at 1:15 PM Tuesday, September 21, 2021. ARRIVE AT THE CEMETERY BY 1:00 PM. All are welcome to attend.
