Thomas A. Planavsky, age 70 of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania passed away August 24, 2019 at his sister’s home in Mentor, Ohio surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 7, 1948 in New Kensington, Pennsylvania to the late John and Alice Planavsky.

Tom was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran during the Vietnam Era. After his service in the U.S. Navy, he was employed as a Civil Servant as a Computer Systems Analyst where he held the highest Civil Service Ranking. He retired in 2009.

He was a member of the Elks, NSA, American Legion, VFW, Moose Club and Disabled American Veterans Organization.

Tom is the loving brother of Loretta A. Planavsky, Joseph J. (Kathy) Planavsky and Stephen P. Planavsky; dearest nephew of Joseph Kedzierski; uncle and great uncle of many.

The Planavsky family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday, August 28th, 2019 at Ross Walker Funeral Home, 271 Freeport Rd., New Kensington, PA 15068. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday, August 29th, 2019 at St. Mary Church, 857 Kenneth Ave., New Kensington, PA. Burial at St. Mary Cemetery in New Kensington.

Donations can be made in Tom’s name to The American Legion Post # 678, C/O American Legion Riders, 570 East 328th Street, Willowick, OH 44095.

Local arrangements were entrusted to Jeff Monreal Funeral Services.

    We just met Tom when we moved to Pinellas Park in March he was such a fun guy and we enjoyed our time with him. Our condolences!
