Kostantinos “ Gus” Georgios Foradis, age 67 of Willowick, passed away suddenly December 31, 2019 while visiting family in Chios, Greece. He was born July 26, 1952 in Athens, Greece to the late Georgios and Despoina Foradis.

Gus was a loving, hardworking father, husband, grandfather and brother. He migrated to America at the age of 12 with his father to work and help support his family here and in Greece. Gus went on to own several restaurants in the Cleveland area. He was a kind and generous friend who made all feel like family the moment you met him.

He is the loving husband for 45 years of Angeliki Konstantinos Foradis (nee Fikias); father of Diane (Kostas) Soulis, George (Julie) Foradis and Pete (Heather) Foradis; grandfather of Leonidas and Angelina Soulis, Layla, Jack, Constantine “Dean”, Angeliki and Breeanna Foradis; brother of Nick G. (Christine – deceased) Foradis, Koula Kombothansis, Jenny Mimas, Stamatia Tsikina and the late Irene (George) Hatzigeorgio.

February 8, 2020, the Foradis family will receive friends from 9-10 AM with a memorial service immediately following at Sts. Constantine and Helen Orthodox Church, 3352 Mayfield Rd., Cleveland. He was laid to rest with his mother and father in Kardamyla, Chios, Greece on January 12th, 2020.

Donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Gus had A heart of gold for helping those in need, a love for animals, and a strong faith in God. Gus the “Captain “ will be greatly missed.

  3. You have my deepest sympathy. He was always so welcoming when we came to the restaurant. I enjoyed visiting with him. I know he will be greatly missed. My prayers for the family. May he rest in peace.
